עמותת גלאו"פ עוסקת בטיפול באוכלוסיה של בעלי צרכים מיוחדים ונוער בסיכון באמצעות שיטת המרחב הפתוח . שיטה שפותחה על ידי ד"ר עופר קומרובסקי, ומתבצעת בחוות סוסים טיפולית בכפר שמואל.
שיטת המרחב הפתוח רואה את ה"מגבלה" של המטופל כ"עוצמתו" ובכך מקדמת שינוי אישי, קהילתי וחברתי .
מטופלים רבים של החווה מנהלים כיום אורח חיים עצמאי ובלתי תלוי, שמחת החיים חזרה אליהם והנטל על המשפחות קטן באופן משמעותי.

רכיבה טיפולית ואתגרית
רכיבה טיפולית הינה דרך מופלאה ומיוחדת לטיפול, לימוד ומתן עזרה לאנשים הסובלים ממוגבלויות או קשיים שונים. תכנית אישית מותאמת מאפשרת שינוי חיובי בתחום המוטורי – חברתי - רגשי , הפסיכולוגי-התנהגותי, קוגנטיבי – תפיסתי ועוד
Therapeutic riding is a wonderful and special way to treat' learning and provide an assistance tls to people with disabilities or various of difficulties. The Therapeutic riding has many advantages- it has a positive effect in the motor'social-emotional, psychological' cognitive-behavioral.

עמותת גלא"ופ מאמינה כי כל נער שיקבל מסגרת מעצימה ומכילה, יבנה לעצמו "עצמי מאמין" חזק שיאפשר לנו לממש את הפוטנציאל הטמון בו.
המפגש עם הסוס והחיבור אליו מעניק לילד מרחב בטוח, בו הוא יכול לפעול מתוך רצון וחדוות עשייה. הנער מבין כי הוא זה שיכול " למשוך את המושכות בידיים " ולקבוע את עתידו. הנערים מופנים מלשכות הרווחה השונות וממחלקות קידום הנוער.
Galapop believes that every youngster who receives an empowering framework will build a strong "believing self" that will enable us to realize the potential that lies within it. The encounter with the horse and the connection to it gives the child a safe space, where he can act out of desire and joy of action. The boy realizes that he is the one who can "pull the reins in his hands" and determine his future. The boys are referred by the various welfare offices and youth promotion departments.

הבית של עופר
לבית של עופר מגיעים 10 בני ובנות נוער על הרצף האוטיסטי ברמת תפקוד שונה. כולם בעלי קושי ביטוי ורבלי, אשר חוו במהלך חייהם בידוד חברתי ותסכול מחוסר היכולת לתקשר עם הסביבה. בבית של עופר, דרך שיטת לימוד ייחודית ודרך שיטת המרחב הפתוח הילדים חווים מסגרת חברתית תומכת, שיפור בטחונם ודימוים העתצי ובכך תחושת מימוש עצמי בתחומי החיים השונים.
. Ofer's house has 10 teenagers on the autistic spectrum at a different level of functioning. All of whom have verbal difficulties, who have experienced social isolation and frustration in the course of their lives and their inability to communicate with the environment. In Ofer's house, through a unique learning method and through the open space system, children experience a supportive social framework, improved their security and their future images, and thus a sense of self-realization in the various areas of life.
